Themed tables, chair and signs. We were excited to be approached by Adam Henson’s, Cotswold Farm Park, to create some quirky items for a children’s area that was to have an Alice in Wonderland theme. The brief was to make some interesting tables and stools that had an organic feel and a quirky shape. Fortunately Adam Henson’s “wood shed” is a barn stacked with tumble down trees waiting to be cut for firewood. There was an enormous oak trunk that we sliced a few biscuits off. These huge oak biscuits would make great table tops… and so from that point the project evolved. The Signs were cut from oak boards and painted with an Alice in Wonderland’esque font. The project was interesting and organic, and because we used so many reclaimed materials, it was a very economical build.
